The Oversight ModelĀ Ā
The one thing missing in your personal development,
the architectural overview that creates alignment and coherence.
Why Oversight is needed in Personal DevelopmentĀ
You have tried things yourself, or perhaps have worked with coaches, mentors or specialists. You may have a personal trainer, a meditation app or annual retreats you attend. Each of them valuable in their own right.
And yet here you are. Still feeling the gap between the investment and the outcome. Many people find themselves managing a portfolio of inputs that never quite compounds into the coherence they are looking for. The problem is not the input or expertise. The problem is the absence of an architectural overview that creates alignment, integration and coherence.
The Oversight Model provides the missing advisory layer across your development. Its role is to ensure that everything you are doing moves in the same direction.
See it like a general practitioner of your development. Not replacing any specialists. Coordinating them. Identifying genuine gaps. Ensuring that your investment across different areas compounds and that you are doing the right thing at the right time.Ā
This is what changes the equation. Not more inputs. Not a better specialist. The role of oversight is to provide you with an architectural layer that sits above them, creating coherence across Body, Heart, Mind and Soul.Ā
The Two-on-One approach
Two Perspectives. One Complete Picture.
The oversight relationship at Essentience is not delivered by one person. It is delivered by the two founders together. Tarik and Sebastiaan are working in deliberate coordination, each at times holding a different dimension of your development.
This is by design. We have seen that most singular coaching relationships offer one perspective and often one set of tools. This works for specific, contained challenges. It does not work however for the complete architecture of a human life under high-performance demands. The Two-on-One model exists because human development is complex enough that a single perspective is often insufficient.
Tarik brings twenty years of embedded clinical practice in the lived environment of high-performing organisations. He has worked with hundreds of executives across their complete physical and emotional development arc. What Tarik reads, most people cannot see. The tension held in the shoulders. The breathing pattern of an overloaded nervous system. The physical and emotional accumulated record of everything the mind has processed and then pushed past.
Sebastiaan works at the intersection of performance and meaning. He brings the capacity to see the complete life system within the professional architecture, the personal patterns, the strategic decisions and the deeper questions beneath them. With a background in executive advisory, triathlon coaching, mindfulness and meditation, he sees the interaction between how you think, what you value and what you are building. He reflects back the patterns you cannot see from inside them.
How does The Oversight Model work
One Tailored program
Structurally aligning your activities to create coherence around your personal development. One clear architecture, replacingĀ a fragmented portfolio.
Two-on-One approach
Two Perspectives. One Complete Picture. Working in deliberate coordination, each at times holding a different dimension of your development.Ā
Weekly or Monthly sessions
Sessions range from 60 to 90 minutes, either physically oriented or advisory oriented. Each targeting the development of Body, Heart, Mind and Soul.
Integration with your specialists
The Oversight Model does not replace your existing coaches, trainers, or therapists. It coordinates efforts, making sure all is moving in the same direction.
The Coordinating ArchitectureĀ
1. Your Four Pillars Profile
From your opening assessment, Tarik and Sebastiaan build your Four Pillars Profile. This is a comprehensive baseline across Body, Heart, Mind and Soul. This profile is the architectural document of your development held and updated by both founders as you develop. It tracks your aim at the start, what has shifted, what is emerging and what remains unaddressed.
This institutional memory is the cornerstone of the Oversight Model that accumulates over time.
2. Digital Oversight Channel
The oversight relationship continues between sessions as a dedicated communication channel will be available to you that includes both Tarik, Sebastiaan and yourself. This gives you continuous access to ask questions, share observations or insights as reminders for daily practice or next sessions.
You can decide to add anyone to this channel, your coach, personal trainer, clinical specialist or anyone else contributing to your development.
3. Monthly Progress Insights
You will receive a monthly report with shared insights of your progress that month. This is an honest assessment of what has shifted across each pillar or what needs more attention. We challenge you, hold up a mirror and provide guidance on what the next phase of your development requires.
This makes the Oversight Model tangible. It serves as an accountability mechanism that ensures your attention and presence is in line with your intention.
Ready to Experience Oversight for Yourself?
The Four Pillars assessment is where the oversight relationship begins.
In a 90-minute conversation with both founders, we explore your current reality across Body, Heart, Mind and Soul. Together, we identify what is working, what is creating friction and where greater alignment would have the greatest impact.
You will leave with clarity on the current architecture of your development and what greater coherence would require moving forward.
Where relevant, we can also explore specific areas in greater depth, including breathing, strength and conditioning, leadership challenges or other aspects of your professional and personal development.
Clients who have completed the assessment often tell us: "This is the first time I have seen myself honestly and clearly reflected back in a long time."
